Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving meal with Uncle Mark and Auntie Lisa last night! Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving too! We are so thankful for our wonderful friends and family - and for blogs, facebook and email to keep in touch!!! ;0)

Our Turkey Family ...

Daddy Turkey, James Turkey, Bekah Turkey and Mummy Turkey!!! Made with cut-outs of our hands and feet! (James' was actually done using his shoe and his glove as he wasn't in a co-operative sort of mood ...) Not sure why Mummy Turkey has got such a big bottom either ..... ;0)

Our Thanksgiving Dinner is served!!!!

I was MOST IMPRESSED (even if I do say so myself ...). Thank you to all our wonderful American friends who have had us over for Thanksgiving Dinners in the past ... you were our inspiration!!!

The Sweet Potato Souffle was delicious!!!

(although this photo does not do it justice ... it may well be one of the best things I've ever cooked!)

Dan made the Pecan Pie!

YUMMY!!! Finishing the sweet potato souffle!!!!

It was scrumptious!!!! And the recipe is spreading like wildfire across the UK ... ;0) Thanks, Victoria for such a BRILLIANT recipe ... or should I say ... SHUT UUUUUPPPPPPPPP!!!!! ;0)

Teaching Bekah about her heritage .... making a Thanksgiving Pilgrim!

This is what Bekah looks like when she says "Gobble" ... ;0)

Making chocolate brownies ... because we knew Uncle Mark wouldn't eat the pecan pie!

I think they enjoyed the taste testing best ...

Who needs hats when you have co-ordinating mixing bowls???

I love these photos (taken earlier tonight) - Bekah pulled these mixing bowls out of the cupboard and decided they made perfect hats and James thought it was really funny too ... he was even willing to pose for a few photos!

Bekah finds another use for my kitchen cupboard!

Not to be out done by her big bro (who filled this cupboard with cars a few days before - see below) - Bekah emptied this cupboard again and decided to use it as a thinking spot ... She was so pleased with herself!

Bekah and her pushchair/stroller ...

I took these ones a while ago. Bekah took a liking for sitting in her little buggy! It was also cute watching her put my crocs on and tromp around the house ... taking her truck for a walk in the buggy!

Birthday Bonanza Weekend!

Last weekend was a busy one for us ... we had three birthday parties in a row!!!

Kezia's Second Birthday Party!

On Sunday it was Kezia's birthday and so we celebrated with her and the rest of the family. It's so cool to see the cousins playing together! We had a lovely time - thanks for having us!!!

James tried to hide when Auntie Caroline and Uncle Adrian arrived!

Kezia playing with her Village Vet set from Grandma and Grandad!

She was so excited when she realized there were different noises! (first photo) ;0)

The cousins eating birthday tea ...

(I took countless photos of the 3 of them and this was the best of the lot!)

Daddy and the muchkins waiting for cake ...

Time to blow out the candles!

Auntie Sarah had made this very impressive cat cake!

Kezzie reading her birthday card from Auntie CamCam!

Daniel's First Birthday Party!

On Saturday we were all invited to Daniel's first birthday party. Daddy and Daniel's daddy are OLD school friends! They also have another son, Matthew, who is about a month older than James.

With the birthday boy ... (not sure why this one came out so grainy ...)

Chillin' on a chair ...

Whatever big bro does ...

Time to blow out the candle!

Daniel had a brilliant caterpillar cake!

There was a caterpillar theme ...

I thought this cucumber caterpillar was a brilliant idea and may have to steal it some time!
(... the idea ... not the cucumber ....)

Bekah and Daniel thought Daddy should dish out the cake quicker ...

I did a rubbish job of getting a good photo of the big brothers together ...

We had fun at the party. Thanks for having us!

Peter's 4th Birthday Party

On the Friday James was invited to a friend from pre-school's birthday party. Bekah and I were invited too! It was really nice to see James playing with his pre-school buddies ... Most of them are 4 already so James and one other little boy were the young ones!

With Robbie (with the party hat!) and Ben from pre-school

Robbie enjoyed posing for photos - quite a little character!

Peter was a bit overwhelmed and spent most of the party playing on the computer!

It was the firs time I'd really seen James pay any attention to computer games ... I guess that's what happens when boys get together ... ;0)

"Mummy, I want to show you something!!!"

I was upstairs changing Bekah when I heard this cry from downstairs ... James was so excited to show me when I came down that he had parked his cars inside one of the kitchen cupboards! Funny boy. ;0) I thought he's gone quiet ....

Fun in a box ...

The other day we went on a Monster Hunt with Grandad...

The buggy/stroller wheels got a *bit* muddy ...

Grandad and James find more Monster footprints ...

Monster hunting can be hard work ....

We found the monster!
