James' Pre-school Easter Show!

All the parents where invited to an "Easter Show" at pre-school on Friday - James joined in with the songs this time (unlike the Christmas show - where he spent the whole time sitting in the audience with us!). Sweet to watch.

James with his best pre-school buddy, Ajitesh.

These two are so sweet together! Ajitesh is the first friend James has made all on his own and they are inseperable at pre-school. We also think Ajitesh has a bit of a crush on Bekah! ;0)

James in his Bunny Ears!

During the Show he had it on sideways so he looked more like a Red Indian than a bunny!

Baking Disaster!

Tried to make some chocolate crispy cakes with Bekah the other day ... Mummy ended up burning the mixture and so it was all a bit of a disaster. I think she enjoyed washing up just as much - if not more!

I let Bekah put some Mini Eggs in the paper cases instead ... but it wasn't long before she decided a Taste Test was needed!

Don't *think* Bekah was too sad about the burnt cakes ... she still got her hands on some chocolate!

Ansel Adams and David Bailey?

Both James and Bekah have been wanting to get behind the camera and take some photos lately ... and they're getting pretty good ... maybe.

Our little gardener ...

James announced he was planting vegetables in the garden a few weeks ago (pretending!). When I told Grandad he got really excited and spent some time with James planting tomato plants. Mummy is more of a Flower Girl so I got some flowers for us to plant and so far James has been enjoying taking care of them

Mummy and Mr Green Fingers

James' photographys is getting better ... just got to teach him how to use the zoom lens!

Playing with some more girl-y toys

Bekah spends most of her time playing with cars (thanks to her big bro) and so while he was at pre-school the other day I got out my old Sylvanian Families house and figures. I think we both enjoyed playing with something different. I LOVED Sylvanian Family when I was littel so I'm really hoping she will too. She particularly liked the "Squiwal" in the blue checked trousers!

Our two little artists

James and Bekah have been doing alot of drawing recently - pens, pencils, crayons - you name it they use it for their creations!

Bekah turning into the Incredible Hulk ...

I KNEW she'd been acting a bit strange!

Wood work in Grandad's Shed!

James spent the afternoon with Grandad last week and when I arrived to pick him up I found them busy at work in Grandad's shed. James had told Grandad he wanted to "build something with wood" and so they had set to work on a little garage for his cars! It was really cool to watch them at work. [Dan and I got Grandad the "Norm The Builder" hard hat 10 years ago!!!]

Playing with the (nearly) finished product! (He still wants to paint it!)

A new playground to explore ...

A week or so ago we went to a new playground (by the River Thames, and near Tescos Supermarket!) James went through a cautious phase for a while but seeing him play in this playground I realized he's now over that and much more adventerous again!

A trip on the train!

AGES ago I decided to take the munckins into Reading on the train for a change. So with a little help from Uncle Tris (timetables and trains are his thing!) we set off. It was a fun thing to do for a change. Don't you love Bekah's face expression in the second photo?! ;0)

My Mother's Day Necklace ...

James made me this necklace at pre-school - I was very chuffed with it!

Busy building roads ...

Building roads in our kitchen is nothing new (in fact, it's hard to remember life before cars EVERYWHERE!) but this morning there was an unusual peace about it as both munchkins got on with it! ;0)

Early Mother's Day celebration ...

Tomorrow is Mother's Day (in the UK) and it has become a bit of a tradition for us to celebrate Mother's Day at the beach. This year we headed down to Bournemouth and Grandma, Grandad, Auntie Sarah, Uncle Tris and Kezia came too! Auntie Caroline and Uncle Adrian couldn't make it ... :0(

"Are we nearly there yet?!" Our two dudes patiently travelling down to the beach!

At the beach - James and Bekah wasted no time getting stuck-in to the serious business of digging!

Father-Son bonding time ... throwing stones! ;0)

When Grandma, Grandad, Auntie Sarah, Uncle Tris and Kezia arrived (finally!!!) it was time for a bit of beach football!

Waiting for lunch ...

Are we EVER going to get a photo of the 3 cousins all looking and smiling at the same time?!?

Inside the Oceanarium ...

[Sarah, Tris and Kezia had been here a few times before so decided to have a go on the carousel and for a walk in the winter gardens instead]

"Big one! Big one!"

Me and my boy! :0)

Grandma, Grandad and James in a tank?

Actually they were looking at the giant sea turtles ... in just LOOKS like they were in a tank themselves!
