Making paper plate fish ...

Bekah got really into this and did all that colouring herself. I was pleasantly surprised that she enjoyed it so much. Didn't take any photos of the finished fish but will get around to it soon. They came out really well. This was probably the most fun I've had doing a craft activity with them both at the same time!

Helping Daddy mow the lawn ...

(I loved James' technique of dashing around like a mad thing all over the place!)

Guess who's back?!?!

The other day, out-of-the-blue James rediscovered BEAR at the end of his bed! Ever since we moved into our house he's been a bit out of favour. We were getting ready to go for a walk to the lake and James wanted to bring Bear with us. So I got Bekah's teddy, Chuckles (because she chuckles every time she sees him ... and I wanted something more imaginative than 'bear'!!!) and we had a bit of a teddy bear's picnic. Poor Bear didn't get too much of a look in after this though ....

Bekah loves Chuckles the Bear

Quick stop at the playground on the way!

James couldn't wait to show Bekah how to feed the ducks

There were lots of ducklings around too which was really cool to see

Showing Chuckles the view ...

(Poor Bear had been relegated to the basket under the pushchair by now ...)

We found a family of Canadian geese further around the lake

The goslings were so fluffy!

These kinds of outings are the best ... and one of my favourite things about being a Mummy!

"Brrrrum! Brrrrum!"

Although she's not doing it so much now, for a while whenever Bekah picked up a car she would run it across her belly/chest and say ""Brrrrum! Brrrrum!" Apparently Daddy did this with her a couple of times and she doesn't forget things easily ...

Like her cousin (Kezia) and her future sister-in-law (Hayley) it looks like Bekah is going to be a climber ....

Plastic crates are so much fun ... especially when Daddy's playing too!

They were going faster than the speed of light!!!!

Miss Sleepy Head

The other week when it was really hot Bekah flaked out on the sofa. She just crawled up to this position and zonked out!! (Please ignore the disgustingly dirty sofa ....)

Tunnel vision ...

We got the tunnel out the other day for the first time in ages ... I think it was the first time we've had it out when Bekah was old enough to play. They both had fun!

A day trip to Marwell Zoo last weekend ...

This is a zoo none of us had been to before and so we decided to explore. Sadly, we were a bit disappointed overall although we did get to see some unusual animals and it was a lovely day.

On the zoo train

The penguins were swimming around so fast it was easy to miss them ...

James REALLY wanted to see the tigers ...

When we were wondering what animals we might see in the car on the way down James said "Errr, I think I will see the tigers first!" .... too bad they were in the middle of the zoo so he didn't see them first but he did get to see them! ;0) Just about anyway - the tiger enclosure wasn't that great and we were a bit disappointed.

Spot the monkey ... Bekah came face to face with a monkey ... I'm starting to think she's Doctor Dolittle ... ;0)

Bekah looked very pretty in her flowery sundress.

Bekah loves playing "Boo!" at the moment ...

Little Miss striding around the zoo ... she really is walking now!

(Her hair looks quite long here but I think it was just a bit crazy because of the suntan lotion!)

Using our zooooooooooooom lens we did get some cool animal photos ...

More cool animal shots ...

Although I didn't get a good photo the anteater (last photo) was probably my favourite animal to watch that day.... they are such weird creatures!!!

Although we were a bit disappointed with the zoo we did have a fun family day out!

We bought Bekah a cuddly seal at the gift shop and she had fallen asleep cuddling it before we even got to the car. ;0)

Tickle toes!

After we got back from the zoo I heard James and Bekah both cracking up ... James was dusting his little sister and they both thought it was hilarious!
