The sea was AMAZINGLY warm and we had lots of fun jumping waves and splashing about ...

We had a wonderful day at the beach!

Paddling Pool fun with Josh

This afternoon the Kluckow family invited us over for some paddling pool fun ... the kids LOVED it! This is the first paddling pool action they've had this year.

Bekah decided to try out some more of Josh's proper swimming gear ...

Time out for a biscuit break!

Time for some bouncing to warm up!

Thank you, Kluckow Family! We had a lovely afternoon!

Our cocoons ...

It was brilliant watching our tiny little caterpillars grow into big fat ones ... then turn into cocoons and then to butterflies. God's creation is amazing! :0)

Our first butterfly!

After a few days it was time to set them free ...

Bekah was giving them a clap to encourage them to fly off ...

This one was a bit hesitant to fly off ... so it gave Bekah chance to have a good look before he decided it was less scary to face the world .... :0)

Bucklebury Farm with Lio, Jelly (short for Evangeline!) and Josh!

A week or so ago we went to Bucklebury Farm with some friends. We had a great time but never did get that perfect photo of all 5 kids on the tractor .... :0)

Love this photo of James :0)

We bumped into Kezia and her friend Katie while we were there!

We didn't know Uncle Tris and Kezia were also planning a trip to the farm that day so it was good fun to bump into them!

Time for lunch!

Feeding the lambs

The girls were wiped out by the time we got home (and if you look closely covered with chocolate!).

James and his new vegetable patch!

Since James' vegetables have been growing so well we decided to allocate a bigger part of the garden for his vegetable patch. Thanks, Grandad for all your hard work! James is very proud of it.

Digging out the new vegetable patch with Grandad

A well deserved tea break for the gardeners ....

LOVE this photo! :0)

James really wanted me to take a photo of this stone on his work bench ... still not sure why ... :0)

Note to self ... Never ask Bekah to go and wash round her mouth and then forget .... She will turn up 10 minutes later looking like a drowned rat!:0)

Playing with Barbies ... their names are Donna and Crazy Hair .... I kid you not! :0)

Bekah has got quite in to playing with Barbie dolls lately. She has two and came up with the names ... Donna is in the purple dress (and named after her American auntie of the same name!) and the doll in the blue dress is Crazy Hair .... Seems a bit harsh really but when we took out her hair tie it was fairly accurate ... and the name has stuck! :0) She's also got a whole load of Barbie/Sindy furniture that used to belong to me and Auntie Caroline when were little.

Giving "Crazy Hair" a bath (and yes, her hair was still crazy ...) Bekah LOVED doing this.

Modelling with air drying play clay (or PLAY PLAY as Bekah insisted on calling it!)

Being stuck in doors for the best part of a week meant we had to get creative about some things to stop us going crazy! We made some play clay and the munchkins enjoyed making silly faces and a bowl each. Interesting to see their different approaches.

Our little scientist ...

Another ploy to alleviate the cabin fever caused by being ill ... we did some experiments too from a pack Daddy got given a while ago. These were all about surface tension ... and involved washing up liquid, pepper and food colouring ... and they were even quite interesting .... for about 5 minutes ...

Our hungry little caterpillars ...

Forgot to take a photo of when they first arrived but they have already tripled in size! I have ALWAYS wanted to watch caterpillars turn into butterflys!

Our eccentric little fairy/angel (she had an eye patch a bit later ...)

Are you double the angel if you have TWO sets of wings ....?

This photo sums our crazy little girl up so well ... :0)

Cute sibling moment ...

Cooking Cousins ...

Today Kezia came to play and we had a great afternoon playing. The girls even did a bit of baking - and don't they look the part?! (James declined to join in this time)!
