Like mother, like daughter ...

It looks like Bekah is going to take after her Mummy and have a weakness for Custard Creams (a type of English cookie!) ... James left half his custard cream on the shelf the other day (which is very unlike him to leave a biscuit/cookie half eaten!!) and it wasn't long before Bekah spotted it and helped herself!

Bekah on her knees!

If she's not standing up then she's often squatting on her knees like this at the moment!
[Retro cardigan alert!!! This was one of Mummy's when she was a baby!!!!)

Cheers!

Bekah seems to have got the hang of a sippy cup more than James ever did (He's always had the ones with a straw .... and we all know what a little drinker he is!!)

Moon sand play ...

I got James this Moon Sand set to play with. He loved it but it was a *bit* messy!

What to pick? What to pick???

Spring has sprung ...

So we made some daffodil collage paintinga ...

How long?!?!

Bekah has poking her tongue out a lot lately ... it's sooooo long!

Bucklebury Farm with Auntie Caroline

On Satruday we went to Bucklebury Farm for the first time,
leaving poor Daddy at home to work on de-tiling the bathroom!
Auntie Caroline had been before and could show us the ropes!

Driving a tractor ...

YEY, a combine harvester!!! PHEW!!!

When we told James we were going to a farm and that he might see a tractor, his response was "And a combine harvester?!?!?" .... My response was "Errr ... maybe."

When we got to the farm and I was unloading Bekah from the car Auntie Caroline asked James what his favourite animal was ... His response was "A combine harvester!!!"

The pressure was on.

But fortunately there was this cool combine harvester climbing frame! We aim to please!!! ;0)

What a fancy house!

Think you can make one of these, Grandad Green?!?

Bekah felt more at home in a castle ....

Actually James loved playing in this too - although to my amazement he kept calling it a caaaaaaaastle and NOT a carrrrrstle .... still got some American blood in him then! ;0)

This cow's tongue was REALLY long (even longer than Bekah's!!)

Well, Auntie Caroline - it WAS your idea to get a bag of animal feed .... Mummy certainly wasn't going to touch it!!!!

Bekah's favourite thing was this bunny rabbit - called Ms. Wiggles ...

Uh-oh ... does that mean we have to get a dog AND a bunny?!?!?

Mary had a little lamb ....

and they were all quite clearly FREEZING and huddled under a heating lamp!

Cock-a-doodle-doooooooo!

James favourite thing to feed was the chickens!

He thought it was hilarious that when he chucked in the food they all went mad trying to grab some!

What are you looking at?!

James even fed the funny looking pigs .. I wouldn't have wanted to get this close to them!

The piglets were cuter than the grown-ups! [pigs, that is ...]

I told James if he wanted milk then he'd have to milk the cow himself ...

[For our more gulible audience ... this wasn't a real cow!]

On the tractor ride out to see the deer in the field

This was really cool. Although it doesn't look like it from this photo James really enjoyed it too - he just wasn't in a 'photo mood' ....

Not sure why Bekah looks so worried in this one ...

This was the main stag but he'd recently lost his antlers.

Deer watching ....

Apparently this deer is a bit of a trouble-maker - wonder if he was checking James out ... takes one to know one!

This was the tractor driving off on it's next tour ...

A Day out with Thomas ...

Yesterday we all went with Grandma and Grandad to a "Day out with Thomas" at a railway museum in Didcot (which is where I used to work at the Baptist Union so it was a bit of a trip down Memory Lane in some ways!)

"Let's go! Let's go!"

James was ready to drive us there!

'Arry was the first train we saw ...

It's Thomas! It's Thomas!!

James was so excited when he realized that we were actually going to ride on
Thomas and took off running ...

Waiting on the platform

Here he comes .... Hello, Thomas!!

Boarding Thomas ...

On the fancy shmancy seats in the carriage ...

Grandma, Daddy and Bekah waiting to go!

Bekah enjoyed looking out of the window
