A weekend in Norfolk

A couple of weekends ago we went up to Norfolk to see Nanny, Grandad, Auntie Cat, Uncle Kev and Auntie Lin. We had a lovely time but I didn't take too many photos and most of them where rubbish! Here are a couple of the best ones.

Tinkling the ivories with Uncle Kev ...

She discovered how to open the lid (?not a musician ... is there a proper term for it??) on Nanny's piano and kept trying to have a go...

Story on the stairs ...

Bekah can be a nightmare on the stairs ... she just takes FOREVER - and not because she can't do it ... she just really dawdles ... A week or two ago she was carrying a book downstairs and just stopped to have a read ... I happened to be taking the camera down so took a couple of pictures. She looked sweet .... but it is soooooooooooo frustrating!!!!!

Is he early ... or is he late? Is he doing research for the "naughty or nice" list?

A couple of weeks ago James suddenly asked where his Santa costume was as he really wanted to dress up ... James isn't normally one for dressing up and so it came a bit out of the blue! He even ASKED for a photo ... He looks very cute, don't you think?

And so it begins ...

I've always suspected Bekah is going to be a Gamer like her Daddy .... ;0)

Happy (Belated) Valentine's Day ... but every day is Valentine's Day, right???

We had fun with red paint, stickers and hearts ... and it's a coincidence that both kids are wearing red ... honest!

James and Mummy's California Country Park adventure!

At the weekend James and Mummy decided to go on an adventure ... It was a really special time. It's been a while since we have been out "just the two of us" and I enjoyed walking through the mud and holding hands with my little man!

Looking to see what sinks and what floats ...

James thought it was really funny that there was "a mummy" and "a james" in the swamp! ;0)

Stuck in the mud!

Most of the paths were REALLY muddy and we even had to do some detours through the bushes because the paths were impassable ... It was sooooooo much fun!

What better way to end an adventure than with a lollipop (and a cup of tea for Mummy!)

We had a lovely time in California Country Park!

When we got home Mummy and Bekah made this little mirror ... well, she needs to check out her new hair styles!

Our Big Boy at breakfast ...

James looked so grown-up the other morning with his pj's on and buttering his toast (a new big boy skill!) that Mummy just HAD to grab the camera. ;0)

I had some *help* with the washing up yesterday ... I think the kitchen floor has dried out now ...

Our liitle bunchie (pig tail) girl!

Bekah's hair is *just* about long enough to go into a pony tail or bunchies now ... I think she looks so sweet (and yes, I'm allowed to be biased!). I love how scruffy it is!

Sooooooo annoyed this came out overexposed ...

She even looks cute playing in the mud in the back garden (yard!) ;0)

James BEGGED for cars to drive through the mud!

Then we moved on to mud pies ... ;0) Probably not the sort of activity I should be encouraging during potty training ... but fun nonetheless!!! ;0)

Celebrating Grandad's birthday last weekend!

Making a birthday cookie for Grandad (actually it was a brownie cause I didn't have the right ingredients for cookie dough ...)

The munchkins always share a cookie when they see Grandad so it seemed like we should make a big birthday cookie rather than a cake!

Found Bekah reading my "Postive Discipline for Preschoolers" book the other day ... uh-oh ...

A week ago Dan was really excited because you could see Mars ...

This is the moon ...
This is Mars ... (yes, there is a tiny dot if you squint really hard ..)

A day trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park

A couple of weeks ago we made a spontaneous decision to go to the Cotswold Wildlife Park. It was a really good day out ... although sadly (for Mummy anyway!) the camera battery died really quickly so not too many photos!

Bekah really liked the owls ...

"Where's owl gone, Mummy? Look! In cupboard!!" (his little house!)

The bat exhibit is really cool

James has a Harry Potter moment ... does he speak parseltongue though??
