Grandma and James sitting on the bench

James did really well at the party - we were really proud of him!

Auntie Cat bought some cool inflatable games to play outside!

This little girl has an amazing determination NEVER to be left out of things!!!

Although we missed our American family it was really great having ALL our British family together to celebrate ...

and the weather stayed fine so we could stay outside ... we wouldn't all fit inside the house!!

A brilliant photo of Uncle Kev and Rebekah

(Thanks, Auntie Lin for the tip-off on this photo opportunity!)

Time to open pressies!!!

Bekah (and James) love this sand and water play table from Nanny and Grandad.

Rebekah and her rabbit from Uncle Mark and Auntie Lisa

Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!!

Auntie Zoe got Bekah this push-along puppy that "woofs" along to all sorts of tunes ... and doesn't she look happy about it?!?!?! A classic gift from someone who doesn't have kids of her own yet .....

Looks like Uncle Mark enjoyed playing with the puppy!

I asked Kezia if I could take a photo of her with her Mummy and the birthday girl ... she's clearly not camera-shy!!! ;0)

The birthday girl with Nanny and Grandad

What food do you serve at a British "Under the sea" birthday party? Why FISH AND CHIPS of course!!!!!

We got them from the local fish and chip shop - not only did this fit the theme PERFECTLY but it was dead easy too!!! No cooking/bbq-ing for us!!! ;0)

Looks like James has decided to take up photography too ...

Zoe and Julian opted for the other tradition ... jumbo sausage or jumbo sausage in batter!!!

It was a bit mean that the birthday girl didn't get fish and chips ... she had birthday pasta instead!

Playing with Auntie Caroline and Auntie Zoe is so much fun!

Kezia is such a cutie!

The cake!!

This one was a Mummy/Grandma/James creation! James helped make and decorate the fish shape cookies - photos to come. It was cool having a cake that he could be involed with too.

Time for cake - James helped blow out the candle (the same one that was on his first birthday cake!)

I think Bekah enjoyed her birthday fish cookie!

More fishy decorations ... these are the paper plate fish we made a few weeks ago.

Legoland Windsor

On the 19th June we went to Legoland, Windsor. We got cheap tickets through James' preschool for this day and so it was another way to celebrate Rebekah's first birthday. We had a really good day!

With the lego Darth Vader ....

Good job Daddy and James were both wearing their lego star wars t-shirts!

Daddy and James on the sky ride

Bekah meets her hero!!!

While we were waiting for Daddy and James we were standing near this non-descript door when all of a sudden out came Bob!!! It was brilliant - Bekah was in awe!!! Soon after this Bob was mobbed by about a million toddlers but it was good that we had him to ourself for a few minutes!

Then it was on to Miniland ... lots of famous landmarks made out of lego

James LOVED this and kept asking if he could "get in there now"??? He loved watching all the cars and trucks driving around ... he kept saying "I should have that one!" This was my favourite part of the day.

Some of our favourites ...

Nasa space station
Tower Bridge

Big Ben, the London Eye and some more highlights ...

Buckingham Palace

Trooping of the Colours ... the guards moved in this one!

The old Wembley Stadium (a really famous football stadium ...)

There was even a streaker on the pitch at Wembley!

There was soooooooo much to look at and take in!

James could have happily spent ALL day here ... he was mezmorized!!!
