Fun and games on the computer ...

James has been showing much more interest in the computer recently, and he's really starting to get the hang of mouse-clicking and other pc skills. There is a Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom game (a TV show we all love in this house!) that they both particularly enjoy ... The characters have to bounce off a see-saw and collect strawberries ... on the last go the character always goes splat into a giant strawberry which "splats" strawberry all over the screen ... they think it's hilarious! :0)

PS This was one morning before they got dressed ... In true boy fashion, James is wearing two different halves of pj's ... which clash REALLY badly!

Bekah's Gang ....

Bekah was lining her posse up to watch TV with her the other day ... Baby, Sophie the dog and Chuckles the teddy bear are regulars but her clan is growing at an alarming rate ...

Birthday Party at Monkey Mates

A few weeks ago we went to a little boy called Matthew's 4th birthday party at Monkey Mates. (He's the son of one of Daddy's old school friends) The kids had such a great time playing and Lee (Matthew's daddy) got this really great photo ... It's a particularly natural one of James' smile. :0)

Car city ...

We ordered this really good car mat for James' new room in the new house ... We'd been debating about whether to give it to him as a birthday present next week or wait until we are in the new house (in 2 weeks) ... James happened to be looking out the window when the delivery man arrived carrying what was very obviously a rolled up car mat ... "Mummy, that man's got a car road!!!" .... The decision was made for us ... :0) It's very cool and we're really pleased with it.

Mud pie making can be dirty work ... (yes, that is mud on her face ...)

An "end-of-summer-holidays" trip to Odds Farm Park with Peter and his Mummy

A few weeks ago (before the schools started up again) we decided to visit Odds Farm Park with James' friend Peter and his Mummy. The munchkins went last year with Daddy but I'd never been. We had a really good day out - James and Peter loved playing together. It was so sweet to watch. Peter has started "big school" now so James doesn't get to see him at pre-school but we'll still get together to play.

Since it was a farm we started with the animals!

There were some really cute farm animals and I even bravely fed them ... but none of the munchkins seemed too bothered so we quickly moved on ...

So many things to play with ... so little time!

I think this was the biggest hit with the boys ... a massive mound of haystacks to climb all over.

It was pretty high but they both loved it!

Stopping for a picnic

The boys loved the adventure playground too (Bekah was mostly in the swing)

We ended the day with a game of crazy golf ...

I think Bekah was initially hindered by her refusal to let go of Baby ...

He looks like such a pro golfer here ....

Here you see the Peacock "determination-to-suceed"and "celebration-when-I-do" moves
