Puppet Friends!

In the parcel were puppets of some of James' American friends - Trevor, Hayley, Aiden, Keagan and Boo (the dog!). It was so funny - WHAT A BRILLIANT IDEA!!! James spent quite some time playing with them and I'm going to pull them out every so often so he doesn't forget you guys! We miss you all!!!

They do say "Absence makes the heart grow fonder ..."

James kept exclaiming "Hayley's got a hat on!!!" He was so excited to see his long-distance love. ;0)

James loved his Bob Birthday Set.

Thank you, Trevor - James loves his Monster Truck!

He keeps calling it a "Trevor Truck"!

Bathtime Bekah!

Since some of our favo(u)rite baby photos of James are bathtime ones I decided it was time to take a few more of Bekah at bath time!

More wedding photos

Here are some more photos of Uncle Mark and Auntie Lisa's wedding. I posted a few last night but ran out of time to post them all. We were a little bit disappointed overall with the photos but there are some good ones amongst them. We had a brilliant weekend. Thank you, Uncle Mark and Auntie Lisa for including us in your special day!

The little, very old church!

It was a pefect setting.

The Bag Pipe Player outside the church ... it was a very Scottish affair! ;0)

The mother and father of the groom!

Bekah, Auntie Cat and Auntie Lin inside the church

Here comes the bride ...

Somebody enjoyed eating Scottish shortbread through the service ....

We did it!!!

Signing the register

The newlyweds!!!

They walked down the aisle to "I'm forever blowing bubbles" which is Mark's football team's song and outside they had bubble machines going. It was a brilliant idea! Lisa is allergic to flowers and so she had a bouquet that was all silver and sparkly. It looked really good.

It was chilly outside the church

The Peacocks outside the church

Grandad trying to hide his knees behind a gravestone! ;0)

Where'd the bride go?!? And Mark why are you eating a banana?!

With Auntie Lin

Mummy and Bekah

James found a friend to play with.

Uncle Kev looking a little TOO comfortable in a skirt and holding my handbag/purse! ;0)

But at least he was man enough to hold it for me ... unlike Dan!!!

The Best Man's Speech!

Dan did a great job with his speech. Here he is showing a photo of Mark with HAIR (shock! horror!) - this was just one of the embarasing photos he'd got printed extra large! ;0)

What a cheeky monkey!

So UN-ladylike ... can't think where she gets it from!!

"Want to see what's under MY kilt?!"

Wonder what they're both thinking ...

Daddy teaching his son some moves on the dance floor!

James was one of the first to get dancing. I know I'm biased but my boys looked so cute! Hopefully I have a little bit of video of this too.

I always knew James would be popular with the ladies ...

James, Kev and Cat as one dancing team!!

Don't drop him!!!
There was a Caley (spelling?) with proper Scottish dancing.
It was fun to watch and exhausting to do!

Just watching all that dancing was exhausting ...

The fantastic wedding cake!

One of Lisa's friends made these brilliant cake toppers! The detail was amazing. The middle cake was covered in chocolate footballs.

Enjoying the wedding cake ...

This was about 10:30pm .... He crashed soon after this!!

The Peacock siblings bust a few moves on the dance floor!

Funny how the brothers' skirts are shorter than the sister's!!! ;0)

Random posts ...

The following is a selection of random photos that I never quite got round to blogging ...

Meet Mick ... and Mick ... and Mick ...

For some unknown reason James has started calling all his little people "Mick" ... I have absolutely no idea why he's chosen this name ... When I asked him what his first construction worker was called he said "Mick". Took me by surprise but fair enough. THen the next one? "Mick" and then the final one "He's called Mick, isn't it?!"

This led to a really funny conversation with Grandma a few days later involving some more of the Fisher Price people ... He insisted they were ALL called Mick and Grandma couldn't persuade him to call them anything else.
So trying a different tactic Grandma said "Where's Jim?" ...
James: Where's Jim gone? Where's he gone?
Grandma: (holding up a different Fisher Price person) Is this Jim?
James: No. That's Mick. Where's Jim? Where's Jim?
Grandma: (holding up another different Fisher Price person) Is this Jim?
James: No. That's Mick. Where's Jim? Where's Jim?
Grandma: Well, what does Jim look like?
James: He looks like Mick ....

At which point Mummy and Grandma totally lost it!! It was VERY funny!

Meet Bruce and Don .... TRUE STORY!

Not all James' little people are called Mick ... When I asked what these ones were called he said (without any prompting from me - I promise!) "Bruce and Don" ... Not sure why the cross-looking ones are named after people we know ....
See - he does miss you all!! ;0)

Every girl needs some funky trainers/sneakers!
